Lessons

A useful walkthrough is not a property tour. Watch the building in construction order: approved drawings and setting out, excavation, foundations, plinth, RCC frame, masonry, concealed services, waterproofing, finishes, testing and handover. Pause whenever work will soon be hidden and ask what should have been inspected before it was covered.

Keep the architectural, structural and services drawings beside the video. At every stage identify the drawing used, material arriving, labour or plant involved, quality check, safety control and record that should be retained. This turns watching into practical site training rather than entertainment.

The videos below show different residential forms. Their details are examples, not designs to copy. Soil, spans, loads, seismic zone, local approvals and specifications vary; reinforcement and structural sizes must always come from the project engineer's approved drawings.

Remember on site

  • Follow the same sequence: drawing → work → inspection → record → next activity.
  • Pause at hold points before concrete, plaster, tiling or waterproofing hides the work.
  • Use the videos to understand sequence, never to copy structural dimensions or reinforcement.
