Assumptions used

•Ply sheet 8 ft × 4 ft (2.44 m × 1.22 m), 12 mm film-faced shuttering ply.
•Slab centering: soffit area plus edge boards; props on a 1.2 m × 1.2 m grid.
•Beam: soffit plus two sides, with depth measured below slab soffit; soffit props every 0.9 m.
•Column: four faces = 2(B + D) × height; clamps (shikanja) every 0.6 m.
•Wall: both faces = 2 × length × height. Footing: side shuttering only.
•Battens/runners, nails (0.15 kg/m²) and oil (35 m²/litre) are site thumb rules — adjust to your system (steel formwork needs no nails).
