Keshav joined his father's sites. A post-graduate from NICMAR, he grew up watching his father build HPR Constructions from the ground up. The first few years didn't win him over — until his brother-in-law came on board, and the two of them took charge of the accounts for every site the company ran.

The story, though, begins even earlier — on a cricket field. Keshav played cricket all his life: the tournaments around Bangalore, the evening and weekend matches, the belief for a while that the game was where his future lay.
